I'm a 4th year Ph.D. student originally from Mexico City. I completed my BA at UNAM Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), and two MA's, one at UNAM and a second one at the University of Toronto. I was a founding editorial board member and Editor in Chief of Literature at Entrehojas - our departamental journal. I chose Western because the Hispanic Studies program offers great academic possibilities which I've been able to enjoy widely. My favorite thing about this university is the campus, a walk around will always do wonders for you (especially during Winter). Being a part of the CulturePlex team has been a real learning experience. I have been able to bounce off my ideas with other members and really go outside my comfort zone, which is always exciting. The kind of skills I have acquired since I started working here have allowed me to partake in projects I never imagined working on
